Description: The nBit HTML Editor ActiveX is a data bindable WYSIWYG HTML edit designer activeX control, allowing its users to create and edit HTML code in a visual format.
It is compatible with development environments that support activeX controls such as Visual Basic 6, Access2000 and greater, Visual Studio .NET, Borland Delphi and C++ builder. Note that wrapper classes are required to be created before using the control in .NET or Borland products.
As the control is data bindable is very easy to implement it into existing projects. The property that is bindable is DocumentHTML. DocumentHTML contains the contents of the edited HTML page loaded into control in between and not including the and tag. This means that the control can be used to edit portions of a HTML document or an entire web pages displayed contents.
It contains all the standard fetaures found in commerial stand-alone WYSIWYG HTML designers. For example :
1. Text modifications Bold, Italicize, strike-thru, justification, font and color settings, indenting out denting
2. HTML Tables Can be inserted and modified, and the properties of rows and cells modified
3. Images May be inserted and optionally uploaded to a web server via a built in FTP class. The properties of any image in the document may be modified using the windows form
4. Formatted Source Code Editing More advanced end users may edit the source code of the document.
5. Cascading Style Sheets HTML Elements may be assigned CSS class using a popmenu that displays all the CSS classes associated with a document.
6. DOM Toolbar The editor features a HTML DOM Toolbar that displays and allows selection and modification of any HTML node in a branch of the current document
