Safari RSS (1.3) goes HTMLArea? Can't Post

Well, today Tiger has been shipped by apple. As far as i know they implemented the IE ContentEditable functions for the browser.
I will check the code out as soon as tiger runs on my machine.
we'll see :)
maybe we have just to add the safari browsercheck..and we will be very happy.. but i don't think so.
i post again.
or was anybody faster as me?Smile

cheers - rams

ok, i just noted, that i actually HAVE safari 1.3 with contentEditable working. But is seems a big piece harder to get it running.
I tried to fake the useragent and some basic hacks - but it doesnt make any reaction to safari - even in the javascript console, there is no single thing..

i will update this thread as soon as i find something out

ok, i took some time now, and i figured out, that safari has real problems with the initialisation of htmlarea.. i'm writing a new init function now because some firefox builds (mainily openbsd) fuck up there also..

i will update and post the new file, as soon as i'm done with it.
it WILL work :)

Hi,

I made a simple test with Safari RSS below and i confirm that Safari use

succesfully the IE ContentEditable functions !

It's great !

@++

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN">
<html>
<head>
<title></title>
<SCRIPT>
function Init() {
document.getElementById('iView').contentWindow.document.designMode = "on";
}
</SCRIPT>
</head>
<body>
<CENTER><IFRAME id="iView" SRC="vide.html" width="250" height="250" border="0"></IFRAME></CENTER>
<script>
setTimeout("Init();",1000);
</script>
</html>

it's really cool indeed, and it works nearly perfect except the resizing of images is as far as i tested it not implemented.. but who cares - with htmlarea we are almost there ;)
now i try to get a bit forward with the safari htmlarea today - i hope it verks ! :)
