Help me to solve this in WYSIWYG editor. Can't Post

my problem is that
i am using wysiwyg editor one below the other.
when i enter value in first and second, only work the first.
that is preferences is to first editor field, if value in first editor field, then second one have no important.

the problem is i am checking first editor field is empty like this in php

if($_POST['value'] == '<br>')

because in firefox empty editor field value is <br>, and this is working properly
but same this use in IE, then empty editor output not <br>.
i checked "",'',' '," ", "\n" etc.
but i dint get correct empty value in IE.
Can anyone help me to solve this
please tell me what is the correct empty wysiwyg editor value in IE.

Finally i got that..

In firefox "<br>" and in IE "<PRE></PRE>"
