"Acces to restricted URI denied" in htmlarea.js Can't Post

Hi, I'm new to HTMLarea, and i'm trying to implement it on a webpage, well the problem arises in my registration page, I have a select that needs to reload the page to fill another select with a subset of data, I do this by submitting the form, and the filling the secondary select. The problem comes when I try to write on the HMTLarea, it doesn't respond to any command I give.

I look at the Javascript console and find that:

Error: [Exception... "Access to restricted URI denied" code: "1012" nsresult: "0x805303f4 (NS_ERROR_DOM_BAD_URI)" location: "http://localhost/htmlarea/htmlarea.js Line: 1288"]
Source File: http://localhost/htmlarea/htmlarea.js
Line: 1288

I'm using Firefox 1.0 to test.

In Internet explorer all works fine.

Can someone help me please?

Thank you in advance.
