cursor position when switching mode Can't Post

Cheers,
does anybody know how you can set the cursor position at a defined position when switching htmlmode?
for instance: you enter a lot of text in the wysiwyg and highlight a word and then switch htmlmode to view the source. normaly you would have to search through the source to find the corresponding code (which could be a pain...) and it would be helpful if that code could be 'found'.
any ideas?

Another way I can think of, is to keep tracking the cursor position by inserting an anchor anywhere u move the cursor to, u have also to remember the last position in order to delete it and insert a new one when the cursor movies to a new position , when switching to text mode, u look for this anchor which could be a spacial character or what ever the user may not type.

It's just the first idea got to my mind, hope it's useful thou.

i tried for 4 hours today but did not come up with a useful solution.
