Disabling <PRE> tags when copying & pasting content Can't Post

Hi,

I have a user who regularly copies and pastes content including the PRE HTML tag into a website using HTML area. This is a problem because of the nature of the PRE tag, you cannot set the width, or introduce line breaks, via CSS (see http://www.scit.wlv.ac.uk/encyc/pre.html). So, what happens is that the PRE wrapped text breaks the tables within the website.

So, is there a way that I can have HTMLArea discard these tags, or limit copying and pasting of formatted text? Thanks,
