insertTAB *w000t*

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

insertTAB *w000t* Can't Post

I made a tab button to outline your text easier
just add a button in your list and add this with the custom buttons

Code

else if (cmdID.toLowerCase() == 'tab') { // insertTAB by Antens Peter
var tabWidth = 25;
editor_insertHTML(objname, "<SPAN CLASS='TabSpacing' id=\"tempTabID\"></SPAN>");
var spanTabObj = frames.eval("_" + objname + "_editor").document.all.tempTabID;
var tabPos = spanTabObj.offsetLeft;
var x = tabPos;
x = (tabWidth -(x%tabWidth))*1;
spanTabObj.style.width= x;
spanTabObj.id="";
}

and you only have to add this into a css file

.TabSpacing
{width:25px;}

you can thank me later Tongue

Re: [sgrdaddy] insertTAB *w000t* [In reply to] Can't Post

That doesn't work for me ... if i enter

1 [click the tab button] option 1

10 [click the tab button] option 2

then the "option 1" and "option 2" don't line up (hope you know what i mean).

If you're doing it that way, you might as well just use editor_insertHTML(objname, "<pre style=\'display:inline;\'> </pre>");
