Access Denied

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Access Denied Can't Post

Using v 1.79 I receive "Access Denied" line 764; when I used 1.19 I did not get this error with the same setup. The source page domain URL is different to the domain where the external .js files are stored, so in theory that explains the problem. BUT why didn't I get the error using 1.19?

In any event, does anyone have a solution? (Oh, and the error occurs even when there are no encoded characters in the URL)

Re: [Nepherim] Access Denied [In reply to] Can't Post

Looks like the problem is on 717:

Code
iframe.src = _editor_url + "popups/blank.html";

Commenting this line (which is not in v1.19) solves the Access Denied problem. Not sure yet what other problems removing the line may cause.
