The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

2. How about a list view along with thumbnail view? This will be great addon for fast loading if there are hundred of files. We can also add a preview box to preview the image when image selected in list view.

good idea... if there are a lot of images it takes very long to load all the thumbnails....

3. How about vertical scrolling instead of horizontal. It will surely be a ncie feature.

I think too that users would expect vertical scrolling.

4. Why dont we use the same image manager as a file manger. All that we have to do is show all files. We need to put icons for standard file types like "pdf, doc, txt, zip" and a "question icon" for unkown file type. If an image file is selected it will be placed in <img> tag or else for all other types, <a href> link can be created. Hope thats not a bad idea.

thats really a great idea!

5. Your ideas and suggestions goes on here.

Open up a sourceforge-account for this project!
I could help too if you need some help

and i think it would be a good idea if you try to contact Wei and ask him what he plans to do with his ImageManager...

greetings
niko

Hey Afru, great work!!!! How can I get my hands on the beta? Love the thumbnail view. I would like to get the src pointing to the url .. instead of just the directory.

Excellent work though !!! Smile
