A directory of browser-based WYSIWYG editors

Home: htmlArea 3 (beta): htmlArea 2 & 3 archive (read only): htmlArea v3.0 - Add-Ons:
New take on ImageManager

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

New take on ImageManager Can't Post

I am trying to use the nice interface of the image manager to allow internal users to select a high-resolution image to link to a press release. The user drops the image into a folder on our file server( they are too large to use the file uploading script) and when they open a modefied manager.php page, they see the thumbnails of the available images. They then select the image that is to be put into the press release and the full path is sent to a text box. The user hits 'select' and the path is copied to a new page that contains an instance of the htmlarea with ImageManager. The path to the high-res photo will be added to the end of an email a a link.

What I need to do is to have a resized version of the high-res photo saved in a seperate directory that will be seen by the imagemanager in the second page. I envisioned creating it the same time the thumbnail is created in thumbs.php. I have been trying different thing all day today and none seem to work out for me.

Any Ideas?

No ideas?

Someone must be able to point me in some direction.

Basically if I could figure out how to make a second instance of an uploaded image to be put in a different directory, that would help out greatly
