[BUG RC3] "Operation aborted"

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

[BUG RC3] "Operation aborted" Can't Post

when i try and open up my site with htmlarea v3 rc3.. i get the following error dialog from internet explorer however everything works fine in firefox:

i tried re-installing a fresh copy of htmlarea and this did not fix the problem.. i have no made any alterations to the htmlarea.js file and although i do load a the CSS plug-in during run-time, i know this is not the problem because i have done it without the plug-in too and it works the same.. further, at run-time i create a custom config for the editor; however i know that this is not the problem either because i have taken that out as well.. lastly, i'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with any of my modifications to the config or addition of plug-ins because since i use a server-side include for my header on my site i always automatically include the htmlarea.js file whether or not it is being used to replace an editor and any page that has htmlarea.js included on it.. even if unused pulls this error

i just tried some of the examples and oddly examples/core.html does work so now i'm really confused

my browser version for IE is: 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158
my operating system is: Windows XP Professional w/ SP2
my HTMLArea version is: HTMLArea-3.0-RC3

I have the same problem; analysis show that it works fine
_WITHOUT_ a BASE element in HTML source code, but does not with it.

See http://www.jihocesky-pionyr.cz/_htmlarea.html
I have defined a base address there:
<base href="http://www.jihocesky-pionyr.cz/" />
and it does not work.

Windows 98 CZ Second Edition
Internet Explorer 5.00.2614.3500 Czech version
(and some recent version 6 have the same bug)
