A directory of browser-based WYSIWYG editors

Home: htmlArea 3 (beta): htmlArea 2 & 3 archive (read only): htmlArea v3.0 - Discussion:

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Re: [O.J.] 'DOCUMENT_ROOT' [In reply to] Can't Post

1) uploading seems to work OK.

2) not sure of your intensions, need more explaination

3) GIF preview only works if your GD (one of the libraries that does image manipulation) supports GIF output, else use other package like NetPBM or ImageMagick.

4) Hmm, what was the problem?

If you have more problems, do email me.

Cheers, Wei

Re: [O.J.] 'DOCUMENT_ROOT' [In reply to] Can't Post

I find now the Problem for v3.0 beta released wei 09.09.03 (PHP)

1.For post something with index.php you have to use stripslashes. If you dont use this function it will not work to post images or links an another things. The Problem is: /\ /. But now it work. An Example:

$eintrag = stripslashes($_POST["text"])."<br><br>".$name."<br>Erstellt am ".$datum ;

2. The File Fullscren show error on line 47. You have just to take the "onescexit" line out than it works normaly (IE-only i think)

3.Again insert_image.php. It doesn't work when you wanna put a external link or image. Just modify the line:

// pass data back to the calling window
var fields = ["f_url", "f_alt", "f_align", "f_border",
"f_horiz", "f_vert", "f_width", "f_height"];
var param = new Object();
for (var i in fields) {
var id = fields;
var el = MM_findObj(id);
if(id == "f_url")
param[id] = el.value;
param[id] = el.value;

So i hope it helps.
