htmlArea IE link error..

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

htmlArea IE link error.. Can't Post

The Insert Link function doesn't work in Internet Explorer 6. Haven't testing any other browsers. BTW, this is using the latest, current CVS versions of all the files.

UPDATE: Just tested in Mozilla, also doesn't work there.

In IE, it just won't put the link in. it does nothign when I click OK.

In Mozilla and Netscape, it won't let me edit the <input> field to put link info in it :/

OK, fixed a few of the problems.

Download the latest core.html from http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/itools-htmlarea/htmlarea/examples/core.html

Make sure you are using the new method for creating the editor.

Links now are created, however, in Mozilla, I have to minimize and then maximize the dialog to get the boxes to be editable. I am going to check on that right now.

What is the 'new' method for creating the editor?

Look at that core.html file I posted above. Look over the javascript in it. You will see what I am talking about.
