A directory of browser-based WYSIWYG editors

HTMLArea 3.0 don't work

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

HTMLArea 3.0 don't work Can't Post

I have a problem with the configuration.

If I install HTMLArea 3.0 I will get an error in the example.

The textarea comes and I can see the text in some layouts.
But If I click on the submit button, the test.cgi loaded and I get the error: Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /htmlarea/examples/test.cgi on this server.

Apache/1.3.27 Server at Port 80

I have change the rights with chmod to 755 in all directories and for all files!!!
What must I do that it works???
Thanks for your answers.

PS: I am german and not very good in english. I'm very happy if I can get a german answer, but in english it is good too!

any cgi or perl script only works in your cgi directory (normal: cgi-bin).
So if you want to use test.cgi you have to move it at this place and to change the submit path.
But I never used test.cgi, cause normal if you have a form with textarea you also have your own script which will handle the submit.
