The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Hi everyone, first of all, I'm very glad i'e discovered HTMLarea. I really like it.

I've made a pop-up editor. I now want to ask if the adjustments need to be saved when the pop-up is closed. I've made thisfunction:

function Close(){
var opslaan = confirm('Save?');
if (opslaan){
if (frmNews.titel.value == ""){
alert("U need to fill in a title.");
var submitForm = 'nee';
return false;
}
if (submitForm != 'nee'){
document.frmNews.onsubmit(); // workaround browser bugs.
document.frmNews.submit();
}
} else {
window.close();
}
}

which I call from the closebutton:

<a href="javascript:;" onClick="Close()">close</a>

It doesn't work. Of course it asks for confirmation, when I click 'cancel' the window closes like it's supposed to, but when i click 'OK' it doesn't seem to do anything.
