insert_link.html popup problem

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

insert_link.html popup problem Can't Post

When I edit an existing text link eg http://www.somedomain.com, it shows as ../../www.somedomain.com/ in the hyperlink editor popup.

Has anyone seen this and know the reason?

Thanks

Re: [Luis] insert_link.html popup problem [In reply to] Can't Post

Reply - thanks. It did not seem to be caused by code in editor.js. I have relativelinks = 0.

I fixed the problem by commenting out all the relative link code in the popup insert_link.html from:

document.set.link_value.value;
var re= editdoc.URL;

to

document.set.link_value.value = document.set.link_value.value.replace(re, '../../../../');

As most links are external and I don't use fullscreen, this is an OK workaround for me.

In case it helps others, I also removed some fields from display in insert_link.html by changing them to type="hidden" fields and deleting the table rows. Reducing the HTML hight style at top gave me a simpler, smaller dialog box.

Thanks again for your help.
