Locking the HTML Structure

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Locking the HTML Structure Can't Post

Does anyone know if the following is in the realm of possibility with HTMLAREA:

I need to have an option for HTMLAREA that for the most part locks the basic HTML structure of the html in the textarea form field, but still allows the user to change the text. In other words, the user wouldn't be able to accidently delete a table or an image, when they're updating/changing text. They also wouldn't be able to add new line breaks or paragraphs, or remove existing ones. So, they can make whatever changes they want to the text, but if they try to click on a table, or delete a table, or backspace to delete an image, or click on an image to delete it, etc. they wouldn't be able to do it when this "structure lock" option would be enabled.

If anyone has any idea of whether this is possible, or if they think they can do it, I would be willing to pay for this programming.
