PLEASE!!!! Just give me AN ANSWER!

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Hi s_feferici,

Why not put the code:

<script >
editor_generate('textarea1');
</script>

after the form?

Hope it be helpful.

Well, I did (I suppose you meant to get rid of the "defer" parameter). And now, if you get a look at the demo

http://cleverbytes.brinkster.net/shiva/Editor/htmlarea.asp

I can only NOT htmlarea at all. Just normal plain textarea.

Any suggestion?

Thanks
Stefano

Hi,

I meant putting these three lines

<script >
editor_generate('textarea1');
</script>

at the end of the file.

You the man! IT WORKS!

JUST a LITTLE problem: I can see the normal textarea for just an instant before the htmlarea shows up.

But, if you don't have any clue, this is still fine for me

Thanks a lot tykuo

Hi,

You have two

<script>
editor_generate('textarea1');
</script>

The first one

<script language=javascript1.2 defer>
editor_generate('textarea1');
</script>

must be removed.
