custom buttons

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Shortcut
custom buttons Can't Post

Hello,

I have just installed HTMLAREA 2.03 and it works brilliantly!!

I have noticed that there is the feature to use cutom buttons which would be of benefit but I have no idea how Javascript works and therefore no idea how to implement this.

I have figured out how to change the images of the buttons and the name of the buttons etc and how to add a tags but need to know how to add a class to a link.

Can anyone help with this?

// CUSTOM BUTTONS START HERE
//

// Black link
else if (cmdID == 'BlackLink') { // insert some text
editor_insertHTML(objname, '<span class="nav">', '</span>');
}

//
// END OF CUSTOM BUTTONS

MUCH APPRECIATEDCool
