Remove highlighted text

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Remove highlighted text Can't Post

Hi,

I'm in wysiwyg mode and I'm highlighting a text. When I need to remove this highlighting, I can only do that in source mode. Is there an addon to remove the highlighting in wysiwyg mode?

Version: htmlArea v2.3 (IE: 6)

Re: [misael] Remove highlighted text [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi misael:

1. Add a button called 'remove' to this.toolbar.
2. Add this line to this.btnList
"remove": ['RemoveFormat', 'Remove Format in selected text', 'editor_action(this.id)', 'ed_remove.gif'],
3. Upload the attached graphic to your images directory and you are done.

This will remove anykind of formatting (bold, font size, font color, underline, etc) from the selected text.

Don't give up!!
