Post deleted by dsearles

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Re: [dsearles] Revised Version of PHP Image Manager for HtmlArea 2.03 [In reply to] Can't Post

Great!

I haven't yet tried out the functionality, but from the screenshot it looks very impressive indeed! Thanks for posting the code.

Dsearles,

Looks great. Unfortunatly I dont use PHP, but from the screenshot, I guess you've managed to create a very interesting mod. Good job!

Best regards // Pat!

Re: [dsearles] PHP Image Manager for HtmlArea 2.03 [In reply to] Can't Post

I love the feature you just implemented and I would love to use it

I downloaded your script and installed it on my server, however I have not been able to make it work. I'm receiving the following messages:

in the lister frame:

Parse error: parse error in /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/test/htmlarea/popups/lister.php on line 352

in the viewer Frame:

Warning: Constants may only evaluate to scalar values in config.inc.php on line 15

Warning: Constants may only evaluate to scalar values in config.inc.php on line 16

Warning: Constants may only evaluate to scalar values in config.inc.php on line 17

These are the changes I made to the config:

// IMAGE_DIR and IMAGE_URL identify the Image directory "root" (MUST end in "/")
define("IMAGE_DIR", "/usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/test/htmlarea/gallery/");
define("IMAGE_URL", "/test/htmlarea/gallery/");

// SCRIPT_DIR and SCRIPT_URL identify where these scripts reside (MUST end in "/")
define("SCRIPT_DIR", "/usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/test/htmlarea/popups/");
define("SCRIPT_URL", "/test/htmlarea/popups/");

Some idea of what might be wrong?

Do I need to set up some permissions?

I'm in a Unix server. Is that a problem?

You can see my editor at:

I appreciate your input.

Luis

Re: [dsearles] PHP Image Manager for HtmlArea 2.03 [In reply to] Can't Post

dsearles:

Thanks a lot for replying. I installed the attachment to check which version of PHP I have and I found out that I have version 4.0b2. and there is not a chance I can upgrade. Anyway, I tried your suggestions and they didn't work either. (The error message is the same, but now the errors are in lines 18, 19 and 20.

As I have not a chance to upgrade, and my knowledge in PHP is absolutely null, I decided to try a simpler version in Perl, which although it is not as nicer as yours, works for my current (and urgent) project. This doesn't mean I'm giving up. No way! I'm going to install your files in another server and I'll let you know what happened.

Once again, thank you very much for your kindness and your interest to help newbies like me.
