Inserting the URL for the image from a popup window

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Inserting the URL for the image from a popup window Can't Post

Please tell me this is possible!

I have changed the image box to allow a popup window to appear which then shows all the images from my database. The plan is that when the user clicks on an image, the picture address will then be inserted into the image url.

This is possible with forms, but I have not used the code that the image menu uses!

The code I would use for a form (named image) and an input name (named image_number) would be :

<a href=window.opener.document.div.txtFileName.value+='/content/pages/images/library/$image_id".".$image_ext'\"><img src=\"../../../content/pages/images/library/$image_id".".$image_ext\"></a>

Does anyone know how to get it to update the HTML AREA/ IMAGE url? <DIV id=divFileName

Help most greatfully appeciated

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and have a similiar problem... Therefore, I wanted to take a look at the example mentioned above, but it seems to be no longer accessible.

@jiggy1com:
Can you make it available again?

Grateful,

Sliver82

Yes ... my host was recently hit w/ a denial of service attack and have been upgrading their servers (at least thats what they tell me)

at this time the DSN for my site doesnt exist. they tell me it should be back up by the end of the day. we shall see.

i'll try to post back here when my site is back up.

Hi silver82:

This is quite simple. You don't have any form field to update or pass any values.

execCommand does it all.

At the end of function btnOKClick() in your insert_image.html popup, add the line in red and you are done.

elmImage.align = selAlignment.value;
grngMaster.execCommand('CreateLink',0,elmImage.src);
grngMaster.collapse(false);
grngMaster.select();
window.close();

Don't give up!!
