The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

PHP Image Manager Can't Post

i'm testing php image manager, works fine in the front-end. i have a little problem when i want to save the textarea field with an image:

i get following code

<IMG alt=\"\" hspace=0 src=\"http://server1/edit/images/ed_align_justify.gif\" align=baseline border=0>

instead of

<IMG alt="" hspace=0 src="http://server1/edit/images/ed_align_left.gif" align=baseline border=0>

someone an idea for me whats going wrong? i think it is something with the php an posting formdata.

i'm using php 4.2.2, apache 1.3.19, IE 6.0.

thanks for tips

Re: [revilo] PHP Image Manager [In reply to] Can't Post

There is setting in php.ini file that you need to adjust. This is called:

You should set it to ON. This should be the default.

This sets the magic_quotes state for GPC (Get/Post/Cookie) operations. When magic_quotes are on, all ' (single-quote), " (double quote), \ (backslash) and NUL's are escaped with a backslash automatically. If magic_quotes_sybase is also on, a single-quote is escaped with a single-quote instead of a backslash.

hello alex,

thank you for your tip, i checked it and the magic_quotes param is set to on.

meanwhile i tried some php-funktion for this problems. i'm using now

$save = stripslashes($var);

and it is working.

but i'm wondering, why this magic_quotes don' t work Crazy. because its running on an ms w2k-mashine?Wink

see you
