Can't get it to work :o

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Can't get it to work :o Can't Post

Hello

I don't know how I could have failed but I simply can't get it to work. Bet I've missed something basic.

Anyway, after trying it on my site a few times I made an very simple page to rule everything else out. But guess what, that didn't work either.

URL to my simple testpage;
http://213.89.131.33:8888/dev/test.htm

Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?
I've tried different "_editor_url" settings.
htmlarea is in the "htmlarea" folder.

Hi echo:

Try _editor_url = "/dev/htmlarea/";

Also, the editor_generate script has weird backslashes. Try moving this script after the closing form too.

<script language=\"JavaScript1.2\" defer>
editor_generate('text');
</script>

Don't give up!!

Thanks!

You were right on both things, it had to be /dev/htmlarea/ and the weird backslashes tagged along from PHP when I tried it there first.
