Hey Louis

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Hey Louis Can't Post

I tried the texteditor at http://webstationone.com/test/htmlarea and the" insert todays date" doesn't work. By the way, great idea for inserting templates. Could work for other standard templates of a form, or just for writing a letter etc...

Idea : http://www.webwizguide.com has a texteditor too and it works with almost all the platforms except IE in Apple computers.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to take a look at their code for understanding how to let it be compatible with other browsers ?
Just for the record, it's build for ASP but is a javascript application. It has 138 files (with images included) and 9 directories. That's the way how the guys from webwizguide works, it's in all of their applications and isn't free for commercial use. But yours seems to works fine but will need to hide some addins tho.
I am a ASP programmer and not a javascript-programmer but will find my way around in the codes. So Sorry for not really helping out.
