font color="#FFFFFF" -> font color=#FFFFFF

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

font color="#FFFFFF" -> font color=#FFFFFF Can't Post

Hello!

I found out that font color="#FFFFFF" is being replaced by font color=#FFFFFF. I need it to be "#FFFFFF", because the dynamic textfield in Flash only understands it with that code.

I also see that <a href="www.test.com"> remains intact, but <a href="www.test.com" target="_blank"> becomes <a href="www.test.com" target=_blank>

Can anyone help me to fix this?

Thanx!

Frans>>

Hi Luis,

Thanx a lot! I will attach my files in a zip.

I also had problems with linebreaks in the txt-file, but i think i fixed it by changing these lines in the editor.js :
this.replaceNextlines = 1; // replace nextlines from spaces (on output)
this.plaintextInput = 1; // replace nextlines with breaks (on input)

I'm not shure because i also still have a refreshing problem as you can see in the link below,,, but anyway, i'm already quite glad with how it's working right now and i hope you can help me further fixing the " " "-problem.
Thanx again. Greets, YouEcho>>

Hi Louis!

Thanx a lot for your help! For use in Flash dynamic textfields it works out fine now. I'm now trying to find out how i can do the same thing with normal html-pages and i see that htmlArea cuts off the <html><head><body> part. Is there a way to maintain these tags?

another option is i gues the <?php include("file.txt"); ?>

Thanx again!

Luis, can you also do a fix for font size.

I am trying to load the text saved from htmlArea in a php page , in to a dynamic text box in flash, however, the dynamic text area needs the font size in quotes eg font size = "14px" where htmlArea only saves it as an integer from 1 to 7. Also the font color problem too.

Cheers

i have the same problem since I am using flash. The quotes do not appear around the size and color. i am using the standard template. Is there any way to post the code updates to support this?

Hi snowman18:

Fix is in the file attached to post 4, lines 588 and 690. It will quote all attributes.

Greetings

Dear Luis,

your solution works if the htmlArea user doesn't type any "=" in the editor.

Did you try to do that? What happens?

Bye.

Hello Luis,

I need to return into my form all the attributes between quotes, like: <font color="#FFFFFF">.

On the htmlmode that is what i see but when i return

editdoc.body.innerHTML, i get :<font color=#FFFFFF>

My question is how can i return what is in the htmlmode?

Thanks in advance, sebastien.
