how to link to an htmlarea and load DB-Date into it?

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

how to link to an htmlarea and load DB-Date into it? Can't Post

Hi hmtlArea-fans,

I have a big problem, with understanding, how to integrate htmlarea into my cms.
I have a site called "admin.php". it is part of a cms and in this file there is a textarea, where the desired content i want to edit, will load.
now, to open this content in the htmlarea, i have included a button below this texterea in admin.php. OnClick, htmlarea should load in an new window and the desired textinformation should appear in htmlarea.

what link do i have to write, that htmlarea gets opened? or do i have to include the scirpt of "editor.js" in a html-page to that i will link.
how is it possible to load the DB-Date from the textarea of admin.php into htmlarea and back?

are there any good examples in the web? I couldnĀ“t find an example for my case

nice greetings

definition of the textarea in admin.php:
<?php echo tep_draw_textarea_field('products_description[' . $languages[$i]['id'] . ']', 'soft', '70', '15', (isset($products_description[$languages[$i]['id']]) ? $products_description[$languages[$i]['id']] : tep_get_products_description($pInfo->products_id, $languages[$i]['id']))); ?>

definition of button:
<img src="images/format_text.gif" width="97" height="21" onClick=" return text_formatieren('new_product', '__FELD_NAME__');">
