[PLUGIN]: Insert Anchor

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

[PLUGIN]: Insert Anchor Can't Post

The attached plugin will insert an anchor link into your document at the current cursor position. As far as I know it doesn't work together with the FullPage plugin, sorry - I have to look at it if I have a little time.

much, much thanks for that!
i was always looking for something like that
great work!

not it would be great of course if it could work together with fullpage - and perhaps a modify-anchor?
although is a modify-anchor even possible? you can't click the anchor because its a empty tag i think... so its not obvious how to change it...

nevermind, it works now great too :D

Re: [arabold] [PLUGIN]: Insert Anchor [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi

Great work on this plugin although I have one question. In my setup I have various options turned on or off depending on who is logged in so I have to declare each button toolbar as an individual item so I can remove some when needed. I have tried to do this with InsertAnchor but I don't think I am using the correct name within the editor.config.toolbar area.

Can you tell me how to decalre it in this area.

Hope this makes sense!

Cheers

Wow what is nice plugin this is.... the only thing is i don;t seem to get it working in my htmlarea....

I am not using 3.0... sorry about that ... what i did was:

insert de js code into my editor.js ... and added:

//insert anchor//
"anchor": ['Anchor', 'Anchor', 'editor_action(this.id)', 'insert-anchor.gif'],

to the this.btnList = { function.....

But it doesnot work :(

Could anyone tell me what i do wrong?

Thank alot!!!

Re: [arabold] [PLUGIN]: Insert Anchor [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi I'm trying to use insertAnchor
<script type="text/javascript">
HTMLArea.loadPlugin("TableOperations");
HTMLArea.loadPlugin("ImageManager");
HTMLArea.loadPlugin("InsertAnchor");
var editor = null;
function initEditor() {

editor = new HTMLArea("text");

// register the TableOperations plugin with our editor
editor.registerPlugin(TableOperations);
editor.registerPlugin(ImageManager);
editor.registerPlugin(InsertAnchor);
editor.generate();
return false;
}
<body onload="initEditor();">
but I get this error tt has no properties it goes to line 17 in insert-anchor.js
cfg.registerButton(id, tt[id], editor.imgURL(btn[0] + ".gif", "InsertAnchor"), false,

any idea how to solve this out?
Thanx
