Hidden form values

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

I also use a bunch of hidden form fields and I have never had a problem with it.

Are you sure it's htmlarea that is causing the problem and not your application/HTML-code? For example, if you are using ASP, are you sure that the application receives the values? Check your form method and any ASP code used to receive the values from the hidden fields.

Perfect. Thanks. The fix in there did the trick.

Mike

Re: Hidden form values [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm still having the problems after replacing

Code
if (!a.specified) {
continue;
}

with

Code
if (!a.specified && !(a.nodeName.toLowerCase() == "value" && a.nodeValue != "")) {
continue;
}

Here is what happens:

When I enter this in code view:

Code
<form action="webmail.php" method="post">
<input type="hidden" name="address" value="mberning@gmail.com">
<input type="text" name="message">
</form>

Then switch to WYSIWYG, and back to code view, I get the following:

Code
<form action="webmail.php" method="post">
<input type="hidden" name="address" />
<input name="message" />
</form>

I've searched the forums but haven't found any working solutions. I'm only having this problem when using IE6. Thanks for your help,

Mike

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm using RC3
