spellchecker installing to cgi-bin

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

spellchecker installing to cgi-bin Can't Post

Hello,

I trying to move the spell-checker.cgi to my cgi-bin because I can not run perl/cgi scripts unless they are in my cgi-bin ( cuz im using suexec and restrictions say perl must reside in cgi-bin )

My question is how to I set up htmlarea 3.0 ( using ALL plugins ) to use cgi in a location of my choosing??? Such as /cgi-bin/

Any input would be great.

Re: [nulled] spellchecker installing to cgi-bin [In reply to] Can't Post

I suggest moving the .cgi files to /cgi-bin, then changing the links to the file(s) to /cgi-bin/*.cgi (Remember: You must have Akspell for the spell checker to work!)
