Find and Replace plugin for HTMLArea3.0-rc1

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Find and Replace plugin for HTMLArea3.0-rc1 Can't Post

A simple Find and Replace plugin.

The original version was revised to work with HA3-rc1.

You can see it working here:

Hi Cau,

I like very much your FindReplace plugin for htmlArea. I find it very well done.

I have found a problem when using Mozilla 1.7.2. The problem is easy to reproduce on your demo page. If I search for the text "task" and do not specify a replacement text, then if I click the Next button or the "Substitute all occurrences" checkbox, the script enters into an endless loop. The problem does not does not show up with IE6.

Unfortunately, my knowledge of JavaScript is insufficient to resolve this problem.

With kind regards,

ok, fixed by the attached file.

A number of semi-colons (;) missing in html inline JavaScript and style.

I think you might be using a URL somewhere that needs to be changed, but I cant get your plugin to work properly. The popup comes up but it doesnt do any searching and it doesnt close unless I click the X.

Any thoughts on a fix?
