A directory of browser-based WYSIWYG editors

Many font sizes

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Many font sizes Can't Post

Although I've done a little customizing of HTMLArea, I still am missing some of the basics, I'm afraid. Frown

How do I allow for more font sizes than the seven HTML font size options?

I'm using HTMLArea to allow users to customize messages that will appear on printed documents. Most everything is working, but I've hit one real stumbling block: font sizes. The default editor uses "<font size='#'></font>" to distinguish the sizes, which limits me to the few HTML font sizes. I know I can customize the representation of that fixed list of sizes, but I need to allow larger lists. I have some areas that allow for over thirty different point sizes, so I clearly need to replace the font size system with one which uses "<span style='font-size: #unit;'></span>", or maybe "<font style='font-size: #unit;'></font>".

Is there a plug-in which does this that I might use? Or does someone have a suggestion about how I might easily add this functionality?

Thanks for any help you can offer,
