Plugin for creating local CSS via the <style> tag?

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Plugin for creating local CSS via the <style> tag? Can't Post

I checked the forum and didnt see anything about inserting CSS from a dropdown box or form (maybe I missed it?). Is there a plugin for inserting CSS into an element? For example:
<table> into <table style="border: 1px solid black">
or
<span> into <span style="font-weigth: bolder">

Perhaps you select an element than click a 'CSS' button and a form pops up showing the all the different styles, thier properties and thier valid values? Or atleast a form where you could create different CSS classes which where then inserted into the file iteslf (and not from an external stylesheet) and could be applied to different elements.

Let me know if you know of a plugin like this or know of one in the works.

Thanks,
bmorrow

Perhaps a stripped down version of QuickTag plugin http://www.netflash.com.br/gb/HA3-rc1/examples/quick-tag.html
would do it.
