Paste in Firefox

The htmlArea 2 & 3 editors have been discontinued.

We've made these forums available as a read-only reference and knowledge-base for people using or developing editors based on htmlArea 2 or 3.

Anyone who is interested in taking over version 2 or 3 is free to do so. All we ask is that you choose a new name that doesn't have "htmlarea" in it to avoid confusion with this site. We'll even give you a link in the directory to make it easier for people to find you. If you are developing or hosting an htmlArea based-editor under a new name, please submit it to our directory.

Paste in Firefox Can't Post

Has anyone found a workaround for Pasting in FF that does not include changing the .js file on the client's computer?

I have a small function that is triggered by the paste button and by ^V

Code
  function getPaste(){
if(document.all){
window.open("paste.htm",null,"height=150,width=290,status=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no");
} else if(!document.all){
editor.execCommand(cmdID, UI, param);
}
}

This will pop open a new window Tongue for IE users, and paste at the curson for FF/Moz users... however, when I try to use JUST

Code
editor.execCommand(cmdID, UI, param);

I get errors ... what should the paste values be for that function???

Re: [agf] Paste in Firefox [In reply to] Can't Post

I know this is not a solution in any way to your question but I have been telling my users of firefox to do a shift ins to paste in firefox and that seems to work just fine in windows and linux.
